Since the release of "Lover," Harini has faced a barrage of negative comments and abuse, especially after the film premiered on OTT platforms. She took to social media to address the issue, emphasizing that disagreement should not translate into disrespect towards actors.

In a tweet, Harini expressed her dismay at receiving abusive messages from users who disliked her character in the film. She highlighted the irony of viewers attacking her personally for portraying a character they didn't approve of, stressing that such behavior only reinforces the need to address the issues portrayed in the film.

"Lover" explores the complexities of an unhealthy relationship marked by emotional and verbal abuse. Despite Aishu's attempts to advise her friend Divya to break free from the toxic cycle with Arun, some viewers misinterpreted her role, leading to online trolling and meme-making centered around Harini's character.

Directed by Prabhu Ram Vyas, "Lover" delivered a significant message about toxic relationships, but unfortunately, some viewers misinterpreted the characters, idolizing the abuser instead of understanding the film's intended message.

Harini's courage to stand up against online harassment sheds light on the importance of respecting actors and understanding the nuances of the characters they portray on screen. Let's support artists like Harini who bring complex narratives to life and spark meaningful discussions through their work.
