NBE has fixed the exam date for March 5 and the results would be out by March 31, but students won’t be able to participate in the medical counselling process which would be held in July unless they complete their one-year internship.

Since there is a long gap wherein students would be idle, they are requesting the authorities to postpone the NEET PG 2023 exam by six to eight weeks. This would help them prepare for their exams better, and also complete their internships.

Medical counsellors and other experts support the postponement of NEET PG 2023 till May.

National Chairman of the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) Dr Rohan Krishnan tweeted, “NEET PG exam should be postponed till May as counselling cannot start before July. Requesting @MoHFW_INDIA to look into this seriously and @NMC_IND should become more students friendly. Also, the NEET MDS extension for the internship cut-off date should be done similarly to NEET PG.”

Through his tweets, Krishnan is asking authorities to take the matter seriously and take prompt action. He is in support of students receiving more time to study and wants the exam to be shifted to May as the internship date has been fixed for June 30. Read More On..
